Fresh Start Free Store is a welcoming and supportive space designed specifically for survivors of domestic violence, providing access to essential clothing, personal care items, and food at no cost. This program is dedicated to empowering individuals as they work toward stability and independence.
Referral-Based Access
Fresh Start Free Store operates on a referral-only basis to ensure that those in need receive personalized support. Individuals must be referred by a case worker from a partner agency or program. This ensures that every shopper is connected with the resources and guidance necessary for their journey toward healing and self-sufficiency.
Shopping Experience
To create a dignified and supportive shopping environment, Fresh Start Free Store is open two days a week during designated hours. Shopping is by appointment only, ensuring that every individual receives the attention and assistance they deserve. Upon arrival, each shopper will be paired with a trained volunteer who will guide them through the store, helping them select the items they need. To maintain fairness and sustainability, there is a limit of two bags per person per visit.
